How has the human brain evolved over the last 7,000 years? Does that account for how civilized we are today?

Is this a smart question or a dumb question?
think about earlier civilizations then compare them to us.

Hunnn? So the human brain DIDN’T evolve?hummm

quite intelligent, yes, we have evolved, every generation is slightly more advanced then the last, its call the flynn effect, its states that every generation has a slightly higher IQ then the last, just think, year ago normal IQ was 90, now its 100, every generation is an evoltion of the last, even if the change is small, its happening, we can see it
Thanks! I was watching a TV show about Roman and though: why did they think it was OK to kill people like they did and this idea came in my head:Their brains where not as advanced as our. Both brains would look the same but deep inside small microscopic sections would be differant that’s all it took.

………….

Civilization is a cultural phenomena – it is a system constructed by rules and laws. It has very little to do with the intelligence of the people who make up the population.

Actually, it is doubtful that modern humans are smarter than our ancestors of 5000 BC. We are probably less intelligent on average, since we are no longer exposed to a severe environment and a struggle for existence that would tend to weed out the stupid ones.

Today, even the stupidest member of society can expect to survive, get enough food to eat and they usually breed quite successfully (hence the current popularity of reality shows).
