What kinds of things should a man do to maintain a long term relationship?

Random acts of kindness go a long, long way. If you stop at the store on a completely normal day and buy her a card, it’ll do wonders. In a long term relationship people get comfortable, but they lose that feeling of being WANTED. That’s important to try and keep. :]

The most important thing for me is true love that neither of you will ever get bored or tired of. After a while, a lot of people tend to lose that passion that they had in the first 6 months or so. Just don’t let it die. The way me and my boyfriend handle that one is that ever few months, one of us will go out of town to visit our family. Even if it’s just for a few days….every time we come back, the fire just grows again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder…it’s more than a cliche…it’s true!
And don’t let her feel like you don’t appreciate her any more. Always tell her that she’s beautiful and that you love her and that you appreciate her. Women need that more than men realize. That doesn’t mean every day….just every once in a while really open your heart and tell her what she means to you. Let her know she’s beautiful inside and out.
Basically, just be faithful and honest and love her with everything you have, because she will most likely treat you that way too.
