I need otherwise to wear glasses permanently.
Been doing so for some 16 years now.
Started as a 10-year old and now am 26.
SHould I get contact lenses?
How are they? Are they ok? Will I get uncomfy with them?
What are your experiences with contact lenses?
Wearing contacts is a personal choice. I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 (I’m 31 now). I tried contacts when I was 14 and just could not wear them. They were difficult for me to put in and take out and my eyes always felt dry. I did not like them so I stuck with the glasses. When I was 24 or 25, I was cleaning my glasses when the frame broke where they eyepiece meets the bridge. It was at that point that I decided to try contacts again, mostly out of convenience cuz I could walk out of the doctors office and see without having to wait for a pair of glasses to be made and I was working with a time constraint cuz I really had to get back to work. This time they were far more comfortable. Now I rotate between glasses and contacts. I love to wear both for very different reasons. If you chose to wear contacts just make sure to always have a good pair of back up glasses with you just in case something happens and you need to take your lenses out.

I wear my contacts for about 6 hours a day; to school and if I’m going out at night. If I’m at home I will just wear my glasses to give my eyes a break. It’s a bit annoying having to take them in and out. And I have had an eye infection from not washing my hands prior to inserting my lenses, but I would recommend getting them. Once they’re in you can hardly feel them, and don’t really need to worry about them. And you will find it;s so much easier to accomplish everyday tasks.

Im 16. I’ve had glasses since i was 12 if I can remember properly. Its not that bad is it? I would stick with it, I’ve never worn contacts before, but it’s a lot more… I wouldn’t say uncomfortable but really annoying taking it out again and again.
